Sabbath Day Productions bridges the gap between church attendance and active household faith. We believe discipleship thrives in the everyday family moments, around dinner tables, during quiet prayers, serving the needs of others in the communities where we live, and sharing the good news of life with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Our scriptural foundation for Jesus-First Families comes from three key concepts: TEACH - From Deuteronomy 6:7, parents shall diligently teach their children how to love God with all their heart and with all their soul and with all their might (paraphrasing includes verse 4 for context). The "Teach" concept and certainly includes the practices that cause us to be with God.
TRAIN - From Proverbs 22:6, parents are to train their children in the way they should go and when they are old they will not depart from those ways (paraphrasing). The "Train" concept clearly requires parents to know "the way" and to instill it through regular practices.
REACH - from Matthew 28:19, Jesus commands us as He did the disciples to go and make disciples in every nation. Clearly, this commission applies to parents with children and in some cases, to grandparents who are caring for grandchildren. Living in the ways of Jesus - as He modeled them, equips us to reach others and to share how to live with God because we have already lived in "the way."
